Korea Communications Commission (KCC) has approved the number portability system which allows fixed-line telephone users to switch to Internet phone while retaining their home phone numbers. Meaning to say, South Koreans is able to make Internet calls without changing numbers.
According to the company, “the introduction of new system was expedited through various efforts including support for the construction of location system for emergency calls and settlement of disagreement among operators.”
