Seagate is rolling out the second generation of FreeAgent Go portable hard drives. New to this storage series are a sleeker brushed metal chassis that is resistant to scratches; an optional (angry) USB docking station for convenient and quick data access; multiple color options; and a refreshed FreeAgent backup software with 256-bit software encryption.

Additionally, the environmentally drive is made of 100% recyclable materials, and is backed by a reassuring 5-year warranty.
The pocket-sized 5400-rpm storage measures merely 1.16″ by 3.34″ by 2.4″ and weighs 6 oz. While the FreeAgent Go comes in four colors, blue and red option are reserved for the 320GB model. You get more color choices for other capacities, including the 500GB – largest for a 2.5″ drive – in either silver and black. Comparatively, this is twice the capacity of the original 250GB FreeAgent Go.
